Located at the centre of rapidly urbanizing Changchun, this project is a commercial and residential mixed-use building with 2 levels of basement car parks, a 8-storey commercial podium and 27 levels of apartments. There are two major challenges in the design of this building. The first involves massive structural reconfiguration to the existing half-completed podium to accommodate new programmatic requirements, and the second is the need to cater to the sub-zero winter condition of north-eastern China.
